Arlington.-- Our meeting at this place embraced
the first Sabbath in November, lasted ten days,
and resulted in forty-six professions and thirteen accessions
to this congregation.
Ministers in attendance: J. C.
Talley, J. J. Bramblet, and the writer. The whole house
was converted into an altar,
and sinners truly cried, What shall we do to be saved? The Lord
was truly with us in convicting and converting power. On Sunday
evening between 3 o'clock and 7 there were nineteen professions.

Memorial Service
Presbytery by standing
vote adopted the following: Your committee on Memorials beg to
say: It is with sorrow we bring sad news. God in his wisdom has
seen proper to call from labor to reward, Brothers J.
L. Stockard and J. J. Bramlett; both great sufferers,
but once active workers. Many doubtless will rise up to call them
blessed in the last day. May God in his great love comfort their
bereaved families, while we as a Presbytery tender them our sympathies
and prayers, and will be ready to do anything we can for them.

The following report was

was intrusted a fund collected for the relief of J. J. Bramlett,
would report, that we have used the whole amount for his relief,
for which we return thanks to Presbytery, for the consideration
of his need.

--Rev. A. R. Brown, pastor at Erin,
Tenn., writes: On the night of December 12 Rev. J. J. Bramlett,
who lived just one mile from here, was called to his reward. He
had been confined to his bed for about a year and had been a great
sufferer, but he bore it patiently. He was willing to abide by
the will of the Lord.
