Last Friday evening at 6:15 o'clock at his home on Central Avenue, Cleveland, Tenn., Rev. S. M. Ramsey passed from labor to rest. He had been a patient sufferer for nearly a year. The deceased was sixty-nine years of age. For many years he has been a faithful minister of the gospel, living and laboring in Chattanooga Presbytery most of his life.
Brother Ramsey was a faithful, earnest, and consecrated minister, a man of more than average attainments. He was scholarly in the presentation of the gospel, his discourses exhibiting his analytic mind. He was a Mason and for a number of years has been chaplain of his home lodge. Brother Ramsey is survived by his widow and eight children.
The funeral services took place from the Cumberland Presbyterian
Church in Cleveland, Tenn., Sunday, September 15, conducted by
