"An opportunity was given to anyone who wished to confer with Presbytery in regard to a call to the ministry to do so; whereupon Bros. C. T. Boucher and R. A. Moore presented themselves and were examined in open Presbytery by Rev. J. L. Price, and received under the care of the Presbytery and their names enrolled as candidates for the ministry."

"Hour having arrived for Ordination of the young men, the Presbytery proceeded to Ordain Licentiates W. C. Lloyd, C. T. Boucher, R. A. Moore and O. D. Spence to the full work of the ministry, Rev. G. L. Woodruff preaching the Ordination Sermon from Jeremiah 3:15; Rev. J. L. Price presiding and delivering the charge."

"The Presbytery having received notice of the death of our brother, Rev. R. A. Moore, named 7 o'clock this evening as the time to hold a memorial service and appointed Rev. W. T. Oakley to conduct the service."
"The hour having arrived for the service in memory of our deceased brother, Rev. R. A. Moore, Rev. W. T. Oakley conducted the service. Revs. Oakley, Price and Biddle spoke feelingly of the noble life and work of Bro. Moore. A collection amounting to $45.65 was taken up for Bro. Moore's family."

Obituary

On Wednesday morning at a:30 o'clock, Rev. R. A. Moore, a minister of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, died at his home in the Flat Rock neighborhood. He had been a victim of tuberculosis for several years, exemplifying in his patient suffering the faith that was in him. Besides a wife, four children are left to mourn the loss of husband and father. He is also survived by two brothers, W. D. Moore and Finis Moore, and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Harper and Misses Nellie and Mollie Moore. The remains were laid to rest in the Asher graveyard Wednesday and were accompanied to the place of interment by a large procession of friends and relatives.
