Ordained Ministers absent - C. L. Cochrane [sic]
On motion the Committee on Absentees was instructed to bring in a second report dealing with the absence of Rev. C. L. Cochrane [sic], he not having given reasons for non attendance.
The committee on absentees made report No. II, which on motion was concurred in and its recommendations adopted. Appendix S.
We, your Committee on Absentees, note the fact that our dear brother, C. L. Cochrane [sic] has been from time to time reproved by this, the Madison Presbytery, for non-attendance and inactivity in ministerial work. His attention having been called to these matters on several occasions and upon our having no assurance from him of any improvement or change of attitude toward his ministerial duties or any excuses offered for his nonattendance at this meeting of Presbytery, we recommend that his name be dropped from our roll of ordained ministers and that his name be recommended to the local congregation of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Tennessee, where he resides, to be enrolled as a member of that congregation. T. N. Hays.
