"Bro. Isaac Chivington, minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, having applied for admission as a member of the Presbytery, on motion a committee, consisting of O. D. Allen, F. M. Miller, G. L, Maud, G. W. Dyer and Edward Maxwell, was appointed by the moderator to confer with him in regard to his desired ecclesiastical change, and report to this Presbytery as early as possible."

"Your committee, appointed to confer with Rev. Isaac Chivington in reference to a change of his ecclesiastical relation from the Methodist Episcopal Church to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, beg leave to report the following:
We find him a regularly ordained minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, in good standing, and desirous of permanently changing his church relation and uniting with your church and Presbytery. He is willing to adopt the confession of faith, and approve the government of this church; and we recommend that upon his affirmatively answering the questions contained in the ordination vows, propounded to ministers of your church, he be received as a minister of this Presbytery."
"Whereupon the moderator propounded the questions alluded to in the foregoing resolution, all of which having been satisfactorily answered, Rev. Chivington was received as a member of this Presbytery, and invited to a seat in Presbytery."

On motion of Bro. Chivington, the rules were suspended, and he reported that he had, on the 19th of March 1867, organized a congregation at Irish Grove, Atchison county, Mo. to be called the Irish Grove congregation, consisting of 38 members, which, on motion, was received under the care of Presbytery, and the representative, Bro. J. H. Young, admitted to a seat"

"Committee on Supplies - the following brethren have agreed to supply the following congregations: Bro. Chivington, Irish Grove congregation for one year, for which they pay him one hundred and fifty dollars; also Rock Creek congregation for one year, for which they pay him two hundred dollars."
