REV. J. M. BRYANT DIES AT MCKENZIE TENN.
Rev. J. M. Bryant, 78, died at his farm home near McKenzie, Tenn., August 8.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. E. R. Ramer, pastor of the McKenzie church and burial was in the near-by Mt. Olivet cemetery.
A minister in the church for more than 50 years, Rev. Mr. Bryant joined Hopewell Presbytery in 1900 and was ordained in 1908.
He was a graduate of Bethel College.
His first wife died in 1936 and later he married Miss Edith Holt who survives.
He had been pastor of the Pilgrims' Rest church in Hopewell Presbytery for 38 years. He had also served the Meridian church for 30 years.
Survivors include three sons: Lawrence Bryant and Rev. Clarence
Bryant of Columbia, Tenn.; and Jack Bryant, an elder of the Charlotte,
