On motion this report was received and its recommendations adopted.
A petition was presented from the Old Hickory congregation in which they requested that the Presbytery allow them to change the name to the Madison Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

To The Lebanon Presbytery
Of The Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Dear Brethren:
INASMUCH: as the Old Hickory Congregation of this presbytery has permanently moved to the Location of 107 Oak St., Madison, Tennessee, and is now operating there,
And
INASMUCH as it is necessary that we be designated by the name of the town in which we are located--,
THEREFORE; We, the Session of the Old Hickory Cumberland Presbyterian Church do hereby pray and petition your reverend body to change the name of said congregation to the Madison Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and that it be from this date known as the Madison C. P. Church, and that the delegate elected to this session of presbytery be seated as the delegate from the Madison church.
