Palestine Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1844--,. 4 mi. NW. of Golconda, RFD. 1, Golconda, Pope County.

Organized in 1844 with 3 members in a log schoolhouse which was used until 1875 when present building was erected; a white frame structure colonial style, dedicated in 1877. First settled pastor, Rev. James Gordon Thompson, 1875-77.

Present pastor, Rev. Lloyd Noble, 1940--, Anna.
