Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1871--, 7 mi. W. of State Route 37 and 7 mi. N. of State Route 146, RFD. 1, Buncombe, Union County.

Converts of a revival meeting held in a brush arbor were organized in 1871 into Ebenezer Church by Rev. Thomas Wells. Meetings held in first floor of Masonic Hall, which was purchased by church in 1882. In use today, Masons using upper floor. First settled pastor, Rev. Thomas Wells; tenure unknown.
