Arkansas--Vision Enablers continue to work in the presbytery to meet with congregations and to make presentations to all congregations who invite a Vision Enabler to their church. The Vision Enablers are meeting around each meeting of presbytery and make presentations to the presbytery on a regular basis. Vision Enablers for Arkansas Presbytery

Choctaw--Betty Jacob, a Vision Enabler for the presbytery, is working toward meeting with all of the churches of the presbytery. Vision Enablers for Choctaw Presbytery

Columbia--The Vision Enablers for Columbia and Nashville Presbyteries have met to brainstorm ways to promote TOUCH THE FUTURE in the presbyteries. They are now working on how to proceed with these plans. Vision Enablers for Columbia Presbytery

Covenant--A group working on the Task Force for the presbytery were meeting and moving toward action. They have been oriented about TOUCH THE FUTURE. Vision Enablers for Covenant Presbytery

Cullman--Elinor Swindle Brown made the presentation of TOUCH THE FUTURE to the Spring 2000 meeting. There was no action at that time, but several people asked about how they might go about the discernment process. Vision Enablers for Cullman Presbytery

Cumberland--A group of Vision Enablers met and made a proposal to the presbytery. It included five actions for the presbytery to take regarding the priority goal to "recruit, educate and nuture clergy and laity for their specific ministries," six actions for the priority goal to "revitalize and equip congregations and presbyteries to fulfill the mission (vision) of the church,: and three actions to fulfill the priority goal to "establish new congregations." del Cristo--Lawrence Fung gave a TOUCH THE FUTURE presentation to the presbytery at its Spring 2000 meeting. He requested that the presbytery establish a special task force to monitor the development of the three priority goals. The moderator was to work with the Presbyterial Council to for the Task Force. The new stated clerk was to check on whether or not the Task Force was formed. Vision Enablers for del Cristo Presbytery

East Tennessee--The presbytery held a presbyterial wide forum in 2002. Members from 19 congregations were in attendance. There were approximately 100 persons who participated. The forum reaped more than 100 ideas and the task force asked for invitation from congregations to make presentations. The task force continues to work and make presentations. They also continue to promote TOUCH THE FUTURE at presbytery and offer their services to congregations who are interested in beginning the discernment process. Grace--Elinor Swindle Brown gave the TOUCH THE FUTURE presentation at the Fall 2000 meeting. As the presbytery had formed a new Presbyterial Council at this meeting, the discernment process was referred to them. The process was to be on the agenda of the initial meeting of the Council, but the stated clerk was doubtful if much action would be taken at its first meeting. Vision Enablers for Grace Presbytery

Hope--Lisa Anderson presented TOUCH THE FUTURE to the Spring 2000 meeting. The presbytery decided to turn the process over to their Board of Missions. Philip Faris is the chairperson of the Task Force. Vision Enablers for Hope Presbytery

Missouri--The Vision Enablers for the presbytery decided that for their presbytery, in addition to adding more Vision Enablers to the mix, that they would begin the discernment process with several churches including their own and have testimonials at their presbytery meetings. They said these testimonials would be one of the most effective ways to get their churches interested in the process. Vision Enablers for Missouri Presbytery

Murfreesboro--Debbie Shelton presented TOUCH THE FUTURE to the Spring 2000 meeting. The presbytery decided to assign the first meeting to an executive committee to be made up of the moderator, vice-moderator, stated clerk, treasurer, and the chairperson of each presbyterial board. Nashville--The Vision Enablers for Columbia and Nashville Presbyteries have met to brainstorm ways to promote TOUCH THE FUTURE in the presbyteries. They are now working on how to proceed with these plans. Vision Enablers for Nashville Presbytery

North Central--Debbie and Roy Shanks are working with the congregations in this presbytery by themselves. They are also making presentations to the presbytery about TOUCH THE FUTURE on a regular basis. Vision Enablers for North Central Presbytery

Red River--Mark Hunker gave a TOUCH THE FUTURE presentation to the Spring 2000 meeting. The presbytery assigned a Task Force and made plans to report at the Fall 2000 meeting of presbytery. Vision Enablers for Red River Presbytery

Robert Donnell--Jeff Sledge made the presentation to the Spring 2000 meeting of presbytery. The presbytery decided to look at putting together a committee that would deal with the development of the discernment process. The stated clerk was asked to follow-up on this. Tennessee-Georgia--Jean Richardson presented TOUCH THE FUTURE to the Spring 2000 meeting. The presbytery named a group composed of the moderator, stated clrk and board chairpersons to give some thought to and make a proposal to presbytery as to how they would proceed. Trinity--As a result of a update meeting, the Vision Enablers of the presbytery made a presentation at a meeting of presbytery. The presbytery then scheduled a retreat as a result of that presentation to begin the discernment process. Vision Enablers for Trinity Presbytery

West Tennessee--The Church Revitalization Committee is using the TOUCH THE FUTURE discernment process to help revitalize congregations. They continue to strategize about what needs to happen next to keep discernment before the presbytery. They have had presentations and testimonials at presbytery to promote discernment.
