TOUCH THE FUTURE:
WHAT IS A VISION ENABLER?

 What is its Purpose?

What does its Logo Symbolize?

Who are its Staff Members?

What is a Vision Bearer?

After Vision Bearer presentations began, the next step was to recruit Vision Enablers to help task forces from presbyteries and congregations develop a discernment process.

A letter was sent to several people within each presbytery that contained a list of the following gifts needed for Vision Enablers: clear thinking, organization skills, enjoys (doesn't mind) being in front of a group, open-minded, faithful and devoted to God and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, gently leading, keeping people focused and task oriented (keeping to a timetable), and the time and willingness to go and lead. Names of persons who possess these gifts were given by the key people.

We continue to recruit Vision Enablers and at this time have 133 Vision Enablers who have agreed to serve and been trained at either the training event in July 2000, October 2000, October 2001, October 2002, May 2003, October 2003, July 2004 or September 2004. For those Vision Enablers who were not able to attend one of these events, we have scheduled another event for October 2005. We will also continue to invite more Vision Enablers in all of the presbyteries and will continue to hold training events. If you know of someone who would like to become a Vision Enabler, please email the Touch the Future director.
