WILLIAMS.--Died, April 1, 1882, in White county, Tenn., Mary E., daughter of Madison F. and Louisa D. Williams.
The subject of this notice was born Nov. 29, 1859, in Fannin county, Texas. She was dedicated to God in holy baptism at the hands of Rev. J. E. Hickman, by the request of her father a few days before his death, December 28, 1860; professed faith in Christ at a meeting held at Spencer in the fall of 1872. Although she frequently expressed her unworthiness of the Master's notice, yet a few days before her death she told "Uncle Jesse" that she would believe. Hence we weep not for her as for those for whom we have no hope. She being the only girl in the family, leaves mother alone, and three brothers scattered over the earth to mourn their loss.
