REV. ALBERT SIDNEY JOHNSON

Whereas, God in his infinite wisdom has called from labor to refreshment, the Rev. Albert Sidney Johnson, we, the Ministerial Association of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Nashville, Tenn., wish to pay our respects to his memory.

Brother Johnson lived to a good ripe old age of more than four score years, having spent a long and useful life in the service of his Master as a minister of the gospel. He loved Church, and was always interested in its welfare. He was a good, sound gospel preacher. He gave his hearers something worthy to think about. His sermons will live on in the lives of others. We cherish his memory, and are glad that we ever knew and came in touch with this man of God.

Therefore, be it Resolved:

1. That we extend our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved in their loss, and commend them to Him who is able to bind their broken hearts and give peace which passes all understanding.

2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the widow and to each of the sons, and that this resolution be published in The Cumberland Presbyterian.

Rev. J. L. Hudgins,
Rev. S. L. Noel,
Rev. Robert C. Alexander,
            Committee.
