T. A. Cowan,
1203 West 8th St., Los Angeles, Cal.
Minister,
Tulare Presbytery - Synod of Pacific
Pastor - Los
Angeles Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Los Angeles, CA
From
Annual Report of the Cumberland Presbyterian Board of Missions
and Church Erection: Los Angeles, Cal.--Rev. T. A. Cowan took
charge of the work at Los Angeles, as missionary pastor, November
1st. The church was organized with 29 members. The growth of the
organization was somewhat retarded, owing to the fact that it
was compelled to worship in a town hall which is put to promiscuous
uses during the week. A lot has been purchased and paid for, costing
$950, a building erected and formally opened for service, April
19th. We are encouraged to believe that the excellent situation,
the growth of the city and energy of the pastor, under the blessing
of the Lord, will shortly demonstrate the wisdom of the undertaking.
