CLAIMED BY DEATH

Rev. Ralph I. Carpenter, 65, pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Chandler, Ind. died March 28. He had been ill since last fall.
The funeral service was conducted at Chandler by Rev. Ray Wigginton, Rev. J. L. Mitchell, and Rev. Frank Sanders. Interment was at Fairfield, Ill.
Surviving him are his wife, and one son, George, of Pine Bluff, Ark.
He was ordained in 1938 by Ewing-McLin Presbytery and had served
pastorates in Cumberland Presbyterian churches at Bethany,
Ill., Arrington Street, Nashville, Tenn., Springhill,
Beecher City, Ill., Sturgis, Ky., and at Chandler where he has
been for four and one half years.
