Your committee appointed to draft resolutions respecting the decease of our highly esteemed and much beloved brother, Rev. R. L. Calvert, would submit the following; that with deep sorrow and regret we learn that on the 21 of Feb. our most esteemed and beloved brother and fellow laborer R. L. Calvert was called from his labors on earth to his final and everlasting reward in heaven; therefore, resolved, first that in the death of Bro. Calvert presbytery has lost a prominent and safe counselor the church a faithful zealous and beloved minister, his family a tender and affectionate husband and a doting father, and his whole circle of relations a firm and unflinching friend.

Resolved, second, that we deeply symphatize with presbytery and the church in their loss and with his family and friends in their heavy and irreparable bereavement, yet we can but rejoice that what is our loss is his eternal gain.

Resolved, third, that at some proper time during the present session of presbytery the funeral sermon of Bro. Calvert be preached, and that L. O. Winslow, be appointed to preach said sermon. L. O. Winslow, J. H. W. Jones, and A. A. Brevard, committee.

On motion ordered that the funeral of Bro. R. L.Calvert be preached on Sabbath morning 10:30.
