
Rev. J. N. Bryson, aged 71 years, for many years a minister of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, was buried in East View cemetery this afternoon. Funeral services were conducted from the Cumberland Presbyterian church at three o'clock by Rev. W. B. Cunningham and Rev. J. H. Thomas.
Surviving the deceased are two sons, Earl of this city and C. L. of Rives, and one daughter, Mrs. Mamie Gray, whose home is in Mississippi and five grand children.
Rev. Bryson who for the past several months had been making
his home with his son, Carl, at Rives, had been in feeble health
for several months past and the informities of age caused his
death. He was born and reared in this county and had spent his
life in the ministry, having served a number of the Cumberland
Presbyterian churches in this section. For the past several years
he had been on the retired list.
