Report of the Committee on Examination and Conference. There was before us Licentiate E. M. Bryant. We recommend that E. M. Bryant be ordained to the full work of the Gospel ministry. The ordination service to be held at 7:30 oclock on Sat. evening. That Rev. J. M. Webb preach the sermon & the mod. preside & give the charge.
Ordination Service. I accordance with the report of the committee on examination, Rev. J. M. Webb preached the sermon preparatory to the ordination of Licentiates of E. M. Bryant & J. C. Orr. Following the moderator proceeded to require of these Brethren the usual ordination vows contained in the Confession of Faith of the C.P. Church. They having answered these questions in a satisfactory manner to the Pres. the Pres. then proceeded to set apart Bros. E. M. Bryant & J. C. Orr to the full work of the Gospel ministry by the laying of hands & a prayer of consecration which was led by Rev. G. H. Hagan of Fayetteville, Tenn. After this the moderator, Rev. T. M. Hendricks delivered the charge.
