Brown.--The Rev. E. Brown, of Washington Presbytery, dropped his mantle and seized the crown April 23, 1890.
Thus spake the Master to his angel Death,
Go thou this day among my chosen,
Take from the choicest of my own anointed
Bring me his soul to paradise.
Choose one who loves his fellow man,
Whose life is a lesson to his kind,
Whose years nigh reaching human span.
So crowned by the love of those
Whose hands he had uplifted,
Whose hearts he has made strong,
Whose lives are noble for his ministry,
Fit him to rank among my angels.
And the Master's will was done.
His body was laid away under Masonic honors by the Harrison
Lodge, the writer assisting.
W.
H. Mashburn.
