Petitions for ministerial labors were called for whereupon the following were presented:

Three for the ministerial labors of C.W. McBride:

One from Gum Spring one Sabbath in each month for six months promising him $30, one from Mill Creek one Saturday and Sabbath in each month for six months promising him $29 and one from Ebenezer one Sabbath in each month for six months promising him $20 and he having given his assent ordered that he supply them.

Whereas, advice from this house was sought in reference to certain members from the following congregations:

New Hope in reference to Joseph Keneday and James N. Davis and from Mill Creek in reference to John L. McCound and one from New Ebenezer in reference to Edward O'Conner and Ellen O'Conner, his wife and C.H. Cunningham:-on motion ordered that each society be advised respectfully to excommunicate said members from communion of the church.

On motion ordered that Bro. J.T. Mathis prepare to stand an examination on all the parts of trial required by our Book of Discipline preparatory to ordination at an intermediate session of presbytery to be held the fourth of August next at 11 o'clock A.M. at Mill Creek Henry Co. Tennessee to be composed of the following members: L.N. Calvert, J.W. Ward, Wm. Henry, C.W. McBride, R.L. Calvert, and C.E. Hay, and that J.W. Ward preach the ordination sermon and L.N. Calvert preside and give the charge.

West Tennessee Synod Minutes, Nov. 7, 1882

Your Committee on Overtures report: That we have had under consideration a memorial from Hopewell Presbytery, praying your body to so change the boundary line between said Presbytery and Mayfield Presbytery, so as to annex to Mayfield Presbytery that part of Hopewell Presbytery north of the North Obion River. We recommend that you make said change.

Whereas The West Tennessee Synod at its last session did so change the line between Hopewell and Mayfield Presbyteries as to give to Mayfield Presbytery all of Hopewell Presbyterial territory lying North of the North fork of Obion River. Therefore Resolved that Mill Creek and Good Springs be entered upon our Church roll.
