HOUSTON
The following resolution was adopted, viz:
WHEREAS, The Synod of Texas is without any mission point directly under its care, and
WHEREAS, Rev. J. M. Halsell, D.D, has declared his intention of locating in the city of Houston with a view of organizing a Cumberland Presbyterian church in the city; therefore,
Resolved, That Texas Synod constitute Houston a mission point under its care and recommend it especially to the Missionary Association in the matter of co-operation with Rev. J. M. Halsell in his work.
