1880
The Committee on Overtures submitted a partial report, which taken up for adoption seriatim.
The first item concerning the overture from Fairview congregation was referred to a special committee composed of I. N. Cary, S. Wright, and C. J. Springer.
The report of the Committee to whom was referred the petition from certain members of Concord Congregation was then read and adopted as amended and is as follows
Your committee to whom was referred the petition of a number of the members of Concord Congregation, who had been organized into a congregation and requesting to be taken under the care of this Presbytery would report: That they have had an interview with the representation from Concord, and learn that it is agreeable to their part of the congregation. Your committee is of the opinion that some of the steps taken were irregular, but in view of the fact that they are already organized, your committee would recommend that their request be granted and that their organization be considered valid.
