Also, a petition from certain members of the Texas
Synod, praying a division of said Synod, and the constitution
of a new one, to be composed of Mount Prairie, Washita, and Bartholomew
Presbyteries; the Synod to be known by the name of Washita,
and that the first meeting be held at Woodlawn, Washita county,
Ark., on Friday before the 4th Sabbath in October next, and that
Rev. J. H. Black be the first Moderator, and A. Fortenbury be
his alternate.
