The Historical Foundation issues an Award of Recognition, a certificate, as a means of recognizing special celebrations, anniversaries, and activities of individuals and congregations in the life of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America.

Suggested application:

1. Particular church celebrating anniversary of 100 years or more of organization or of worship in a particular building

2. Particular church, presbytery, or synod celebrating publication of a written history

3. Particular church, presbytery, or synod celebrating history or historic event in a creative or unusual manner

4. Individuals who have provided continued service for 60 years or more as members of local congregation, in leadership roles in local churches, presbyteries, or synods, or as pastors of particular churches

Presbyterial Heritage Committees and CPW Historians may forward applications in written form with appropriate documentation for review by the Historical Foundation.
