It may be to your advantage and to the benefit of someone you love to make a life-income gift. Such a gift can be made during your lifetime or may be made through your will.
By making a gift of cash, appreciated securities, real estate or other property in return for a fixed or variable income to any one or two persons for their lifetime, you may be able to increase the annual return from a particular asset, reduce your tax bill, and provide substantial support for one or more ministries of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Check with your Planned Giving Coordinator (East TN/TN-GA--Carolyn Harmon, TN Synod--Dara Jones, AR/MO/Red River/Trinity--Gaye Wood) or the Board of Stewardship office concerning more detailed information about the several types of life-income gifts currently offered to members and friends of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. These include gift annuities, deferred payment gift annuities, annuity trusts, and revocable charitable trusts.
