ENDOWMENT GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

How Many Kinds of Cumberland Presbyterian Ministries Might I Help with a Bequest or Life-Income Gift?

Ministries In Your Own Community--Your Church, of al the forms of ministry provided by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, is probably the most familiar, and you are naturally appreciative of its work in your community. Ask the pastor of your church to give you its legal name before you talk with your lawyer about including a bequest in your will. Note: Unless you strongly prefer that your gift be designated for a particular purpose, it is usually wise to leave the use of one's gifts to the discretion of those who will be responsible for the work of that church in the years ahead.

Ministries In Your Region--Presbyteries in your area provide support for Church's ministry in your region. You may want to consider this larger ministry in your giving, focusing on aspects such as a camping program and or work toward the development of new congregations. As your pastor, or write to your Planned Giving Coordinator (East TN/TN-GA--Carolyn Harmon, TN Synod--Dara Jones, AR/MO/Red River/Trinity--Gaye Wood) or the Board of Stewardship office for any assistance you may want in making a planned gift to the work of your presbytery or region.
