Three Tracks of Ministry
Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Ministry is organized around three tracks of ministry. Regional or Local groups can focus on one, two or all three areas as they plan their unique ministries during a year. The following is a brief description of each Track.
Bible Study and Prayer
"Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly as you teach and admonish one another
with all wisdom..." Colossians 3:16
Through study we will have the opportunity to delve more deeply into God's messages for us, to share our interpretations with others, and to learn how we can best serve God. The purpose of this track is to provide a variety of options for Bible study and other educational programs, which women many use whenever and wherever they choose.
So it is with my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clasp their hands." Isaiah 55:11-12
Prayer is the most important aspect of our Christian walk. To be a faithful servant we must continually ask God for guidance and stay in constant communication with God. Prayer must always be at the top of our agenda. Without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we cannot comprehend the unspeakable joy waiting for us in women's ministry. The purpose of this track is to enable you to plan and teach prayer in your local and regional levels. You will learn to personalize the scripture through prayer and work toward building an effective prayer life in your women's groups as well as in your local church.

Mission/Service/Outreach
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
Since 1880 Cumberland Presbyterian overseas missions have been a primary focus for the women of the Church. Today there are continuing opportunities in both global and home missions in local areas to follow the Great Commission and serve our Lord. The purpose of this track is to provide information about our missionaries and their families, about mission opportunities within our denomination, and ideas for local service projects. This information will serve as a resource from which to glean information for annual Mission Fairs.

Fellowship and Encouragement
"O Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together." Psalm 34:3
"For I am longing to see you so that I may share with you
some spiritual gift to strengthen you—
or rather so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith." Romans 1:11-12.
Fellowship and encouragement are areas where women are particularly gifted and where we, as women, can make a unique contribution to the church. The purpose of this track is to outline opportunities for building relationships among women of all ages in the church, |
