Mary Lyn ChildsPresident
Mary Lyn Childs
Mary Lyn is a member of Shawnee Mound C.P. Church near Clinton, MO. (Missouri River Region/Great River Synod). She lives in Gladstone, MO with her husband Charles Childs. Together they have one son and daughter-in-law, Andy and April Childs. Mary Lyn works as a Registered Nurse Case Manager at North Kansas City Hospital. Mary Lyn currently serves the church as an elder and is also secretary of the Presbyterial Committee on the Ministry. She has served as Regional President twice, been on the planning committee of the Missouri Women's Retreat several times and is the immediate past Moderator of the Synod of the Great Rivers. Besides her church work, Mary Lyn loves to design and make jewelry, compile family history and spend time looking at antiques or riding trains with her husband. (Mailing address: 7421 N. Martha ChambersPresident-elect
Martha Chambers
Martha attends Bethesda CP Church in Camden, AR (Hands of Harvest Region/Great River Synod)
. Martha is married to Royce and they have three grown children - Jason, Nicholas and Joanna. The whole family is very involved in serving God through their churches, in fact her two sons are CP ministers. Martha has served the church in about as many ways as there are jobs in the church - elder, choir member, teacher, session clerk, children/youth). She has served in various officers' position on the regional level as well. In 2006, following the death of her father, the Rev. Leo Smith, she wanted to honor his life and ministry in a tangible. What has developed has been dubbed, "Martha's Bread." She took a love of baking sourdough bread and created a scholarship program for ministrial candidates in Arkansas Presbytery. To date, three $500 scholarships have been awarded to future pastors in the CP Church. Martha says, "We are truly gifted to serve God and one another!" Patricia LongPast President
Patricia Long
Patricia is a member of St. John CPC in Arlington, TX (Red River Region/Mission Synod). Patricia is a special needs teacher with a local school system. In addition, she has been Red River Regional president two different times and Conventon liaison in 2004 when it met in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. She has served as president of her local women's ministry group on three different occasions. Patricia stays busy with other church duties such as elder/deacon, chairperson of the Christian Education committee, a VBS and adult Sunday school teacher, and she is a member of the choir. And if that is not enough, she has also served in the past as the food director for St. John's Women's Ministry Dinner Theater for two years. (Mailing Address: 525 E. Suzi MiddletonSecretary
Suzi Middleton
Suzi is a memeber of Bartow CPC in White, GA (TN/GA Region/Southeast Synod). She has served as regional secretary as well as the secretary of her local group. She's served on the Board of Missions for her presbytery, as well as provided strong leadership in countless regional and local retreats and regional meetings. Something that has been very meaningful to Suzi is her work as a Co-coordinator for for the initiation of Casa Shalom Clinic in Guatemala. Suzi has a quiet skill and gentle heart and brings those gifts to her ministry wherever it make be. She and her husband and teenage son are currently living in Louisania while her husband pursues his theological education. Peggy West
Peggy is a member of Cedar Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Greeneville, TN (Nolichuckey Region/Southeast Synod) where she currently serves as an elder, church co-treasurer, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. She has held CPW and Women's Ministry offices on the local, regional, presbyterial, and synodical levels. Peggy is a retired elementary teacher. She and her husband, William, live on a farm in Greene County, TN. They have three married children,two sons and a daughter; and seven grandchildren.
