Beverly Stott
Beverly
is a member of the Dresden (TN) CP Church (New Hope Region/Great Rivers Synod). She was a missionary to Japan from 1964 to 1990. She was a member of the Leadership Team going with the Youth Mission Team to Japan in the summer of 2006, and she serves on the Board of Missions. Beverly has four children and seven grandchildren. Her daughter, Roberta, lives and works (teaching English) in Japan. We are blessed that Beverly will serve as President during the 2008 Convention in Japan. (Mailing Address: 103 E. Patricia Long
Patricia is a member of St. John CPC in Arlington, TX (Red River Region/Mission Synod). Patricia is a special needs teacher with a local school system. In addition, she has been Red River Regional president two different times and Conventon liaison in 2004 when it met in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. She has served as president of her local women's ministry group on three different occasions. Patricia stays busy with other church duties such as elder/deacon, chairperson of the Christian Education committee, a VBS and adult Sunday school teacher, and she is a member of the choir. And if that is not enough, she has also served in the past as the food director for St. John's Women's Ministry Dinner Theater for two years. (Mailing Address: 525 E. Debbie Cox
Debbie lives in Anderson, Alabama (Hope Region/Synod of the Southeast) and is a member of Hurricane Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where her husdand has been pastor for 20 years. She works for the Lauderdale County Board of Education and is a previous restuarant owner. Debbie says that she loves to work in the church and, therefore, has many jobs. In addition to working in the church, she spends a lot of time outside -- walking their Great Dane, doing yard work, and fishing (which she LOVES!). Not only does she enjoy working and playing outside, she also like to cook outdoors. Debbie says, "Guess you could say I am a nature lover, but what a beautiful picture God painted for us." Martha Fisher
Martha is a "preacher's kid," the daughter of Rev. Bill and Colleen Garrett. She is a member of Christ Church of Monrovia in Huntsville, AL, where she is an ordained elder, Sunday School teacher for preschool children, a member of the church choir, and Past President of her local Women's Ministry. She is currently serving as President-elect of Robert Donnell Region, and she is a member of the presbyterial Committee on the Ministry. Rita Vaught
Rita is a member of First CP Church in Lincoln, IL (North Central Region/Synod of Midwest) where she serves as an elder. Her involvement in Women's Ministry include serving in all leadership capacities at various times within her local group and as well as Regional secretary for three years. Rita is currently the village clerk of her town board. Most of her career has been in the classroom as a K-12 counselor, a junior high language arts teacher, and a high school English and journalism teacher. Rita says that she was "fortunate to be teaching at the high school level when technology became a vital part of the classroom. Rita retired from teaching in 2004 and has kept busy ever since then with various areas of ministry, one of which has been as a member of the Women Work Teams for the past three years!
