Peter and Debi Drypolcher, who both became followers of Jesus as adults, met in an evangelism conference at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque in 1990. They married at Heights in November 1991.

In 1994 they joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM), an interdenominational missions agency. They completed a Discipleship Training Course and a year-long leadership school. In 1996, to their surprise, God called them to Africa, an area of the world which they had never considered. Peter, Debi and their ten-month old daughter Katie arrived in Zimbabwe in December 1996.

They served in Zimbabwe for eight years, where they pioneered a Leadership School for missionaries which has been continued by others. They mentored many young missionaries and pastors. In 2000 they established the YWAM Frontier Missions Centre for southern Africa – a ministry to mobilize African Christians into world missions.

In early 2005 they relocated to Zambia, moving the Frontier Missions Centre with them. Their Debi Drypolcherministry has seen them make innumerable presentations to churches, to Christian organizations, and at conferences. In 2006 they produced a missions radio program reaching all over southern Africa. They serve missionaries working amongst unreached people groups in southern Africa. They facilitate those called from Africa to the ends of the earth. Young Africans are responding, and the first wave is now at the ends of the earth amongst unreached Muslims, Hindus, Chinese, and tribal peoples.

Debi has had an active ministry to Muslim women for several years. Peter preaches and speaks in the region, not only about missions, but on openness, brokenness, forgiveness, and other discipleship subjects. Debi established EQUIP ministries to train and encourage youth pastors. She has since turned that ministry over to a young Zambian.

Katie DrypolcherKatie, now 11, has spent 90% of her life in Africa. She is in an A.C.E. school. She’s a competitive swimmer with a desire to become a missionary veterinarian.

The Drypolchers serve under a Mission Partnership Agreement between the Cumberland Presbyterian Board of Missions and Youth With A Mission.

And they LOVE Africa and praise God for calling them there.
