Construction of Medical Clinic is Now Complete!

Nino Shalom Medical Clinic in Guatemala

Most of you know about our full time missionary, Wendy Skinner, who is living in Guatemala. She is embarking on building a medical clinic on the property of a children’s home called Casa para Ninos Shalom. We are thrilled to know that in a matter of months, surgeons will be on site. They will be performing surgeries for many of the children in Guatemala. With your donation of work and medical supplies, children will soon be served.

The Clinic will be able to see up to 1,000 children per month from other orphanages, as well as other indigent people. It will have an operating room for the visiting surgeons. These doctors and surgeons will also be sharing the Gospel with the patients.

This clinic endeavor is a unique partnership for the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  The Board of Missions is partnering with Casa Shaloam, a Church of God orphanage, to establish and fund this clinic.  The Cumberland Presbyterian Church is providing the construction funds and the Church of God is providing the property on which the clinic is being built.  The clinic will be the property of the Church of God.  Both denominations will share in the day-to-day operating expense.

The medical clinic in Guatemala is now completed and the current task is securing medicines and equipment.  If you have assess to any of the following, please contact Wendy Skinner at WENDYERRN@aol.com
