Hopson Family 2008What a mission job description looks like!
Check out the ministry of Delight and Kenneth Hopson

KENNETH: Kenneth does all of the printing for the Uganda field. This includes all the teaching lessons for pastor’s training, forms for WGM, and discipleship, evangelism, etc. materials. He also does some outside printing for Heritage International School at present and is working to expand the outside sources to raise needed funds for the printing ministry and other field ministries.

Kenneth is a member of the Uganda Field Executive Committee and was given a new job this year, called Kampala Team Leader. This job entails a support role to all of the missionaries located in Kampala and to the reporting to the Field Director needs and issues that need his attention. He leads and facilitates prayer meetings and Kampala team meetings. He also leads work teams from time to time.

Kenneth is the coordinator for all of the WGM day and night guards who oversee the properties where all of our Kampala missionaries live.

Kenneth is the coordinator for the Kayunga area training center, where he travels once a month to oversee the training. He also works very diligently at building relationships with the Ugandan pastors and coordinates the purchase of Bibles, song books and other very much needed literature for the pastors to take back to their villages.

DELIGHT:
Delight is the Administrative Secretary at Heritage International School. She prepares forms, oversees the school lunch program, is the secretary to the Principal and Head Teacher and works diligently at building relationships with the parents of HIS students and teachers. She is also the Vice Chair of the Parent Teacher Fellowship at Heritage.

Delight continues to mentor volunteers and new missionaries as they come to Uganda and is always available as hostess as guests come to visit. She also leads work teams from time to time.

Delight is working on ministries with women, but it is a slow process. Starting in January, one lady is very interested in beginning a Bible Study.

3.) Kenneth is happy as you can see. After 16 years of prayer, on September 22, 2008, the long awaited day arrived. The day the printing equipment came! The truck and container could not fit in the gate, so a lift truck had to be hired. The larger equipment was unloaded into our one car garage, which is now known as “The Print Shop” and the rest of the things; tables, paper, and other supplies were put into our storage container, until a larger place can be found.
