Greetings from Uganda!
We trust all is well with you and pray the Lord’s blessings are upon you. It is April Fool's day, as I type this letter; a day when we play funny, silly, jokes on people and a day that we do not take too many things seriously. Well, I have a few things to tell you that are serious and are not a joking matter so sit back, read and pray with us for these matters at hand.
If you have not already received our printed letter through regular mail, I trust you will shortly. In that letter, we announced to everyone that we will be coming home in June for only 7 months and then returning to Uganda to further serve Jesus in the ministries He has given us. As we traveled around the U.S. last time, we shared with you that we would be coming to Uganda for a period of research, for the printing ministry. Kenneth has been busy with printing during the time we have been here and has only had the little table top printing machine to use. Right now, he is working on a job for another missionary. It is a 240 page Bible Study book called, ‘Sonship for Africa’. Kenneth went through this Bible study with a group of men and believes it is a wonderful, insightful study. Now 100 of these books need to be printed and are going to be shared with many Ugandans that are being trained. This is Kenneth’s dream! He loves Jesus and loves to print! He is printing literature for people to take out to the different areas of Uganda to share the love of Jesus. Kenneth can’t travel all overI (Delight) have been very busy at Heritage International School, as well. Including our Home-schooled kids who come on Wednesday, we now have 121 students. God is blessing! Because the school was started for the purpose of educating missionary kids, we have a high turnover ratio of missionary teachers each year. We try to hire as many missionaries as possible to fill positions. Some of these ‘missionaries’ come for one or two years. They get the experience of teaching overseas and then return home. Some get other teaching jobs or further their education. Others return home to raise their support to come back! Do you have the desire to serve the Lord in Uganda at a Christian International School? Now is the time! For the next school year, the following positions are available: Chief Administrator, Principal, Finance Manager, Administrative Secretary (as I will be home for 7 months), 5th grade teacher, Physical Education teacher, and Math teacher for Jr. High and High school. If you would like to be involved in other ways such as volunteering in the library, being a teacher’s aide, helping with music, working in youth ministries or watching the children on the playground, then we have a place saved for you. Contact me, if God is laying this on your heart.
We will be leaving Uganda on June 2. After taking some family time, we will begin our travels. If you would like for us to come and share what the Lord is doing in Uganda, then I urge you to reply very soon to this e-mail address: ken.hopson@wgm.org. Since we are only going to be home for 7 months, our time is very limited. We will not be able to go to every church or see every supporter this time, but we hope to see as many as possible. One very serious concern we have is that our ministry account is dangerously low and currently has under $1,000 in it. We still have two months before we are to leave. If the Lord is speaking to you about giving an extra gift this month, it would allow us to return to the
All our love,
Delight, Kenneth, Kaleb, Austin and Emilee Hopson
