Second Mile Projects
Second Mile Projects are opportunities for financial giving to selected needs in mission work. The projects are selected by Board of Mission staff based on needs presented by our fields of work. The projects might underwrite the cost of land purchase, building construction, social action needs, or other ministries. The projects vary in cost from $1,500 and above. Usually the designated recipient and the sponsoring presbytery are expected to share in raising the funds.
These projects are promoted through the Board of Missions quarterly MEMO mailing. All ministers, mission committee chairpersons, CPW presidents, and stated clerks receive this mailing. It is urged that the Second Mile opportunities be posted on bulletin boards. Individuals and church groups are encouraged to contribute to these projects.
Below is a list of current Second Mile Projects. Click on one to find out more information or to print a flyer.
