Native American Sunday
OCTOBER 21, 2007
The General Assembly of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church has designated the fourth Sunday of October as the church’s annual Native American Sunday observance.
It is a time for the church to give thanks for native contributions to national culture, reflect on some of the issues that affect native people, and lift up prayers for justice.
Resource packets are available from the Board of Missions or may be downloaded from this website. These resources provide some tools to help in celebrating this important day during a service of worship or in other congregational settings. Resource materials available include:
- Posters (8 1/2 by 11) in full color. Bulletin Inserts (which include a prayer/litany and artwork - bulletin insert copy ready for duplication)
