What is the Builders Fellowship?
The Builders Fellowship consists of people who support the building programs of new Cumberland Presbyterian churches with their prayers and their financial contributions three times each year.
What Does Builders Fellowship Do?
It provides finanacial help as a new congregation builds its first unit, which is essential as a base of operations for ministry and mission. Often the church uses temporary rented facilities in the formative years, but the time comes when a "home of their own" is needed. That's where Builders Fellowship can give a tremendous boost. In 2001, the almost 800 Builders Fellowship members contributed almost $75,000 for new construction.
How Does It Work?
Builders Fellowship members receive three Calls each year (in the form of letters from the Board of Missions), inviting them to contribute to a specific church's building program. The Calls usually arrive in April, August, and November. One hundred percent of the proceeds goes to the designated church. Builders Fellowship members return their contribution in the envelope enclosed with the Call.
