Grace Community - Millbrook, Alabama
Chartered by Grace Presbytery January 12, 2003, with 73 members signing the charter roll. The new 12,000 square foot church facility was dedicated on the same day. Rev. Chuck Hood is the organizing pastor of this new congregation which now has regular attendance of about 130 in two Sunday services. The congregation became fully self-supporting during 2003. It offers full program of ministry in this growing community near Montgomery. This church started 'from scratch,' and its development is ample evidence of the guidance of the Spirit and the unflagging work of the pastor and people. Grace Church is providentially suited for its home community and serves as an example of effective church planting in our denomination. It will be one of the most vital ministries in its community for many years to come.
