Evangelism Miniversity
sponsored by: Discipleship and Missions Teams and Ministry Council

Meeting People with the Message!

This series of workshops/seminars are scheduled throughout the country in February and March of 2009. There will be two tracks this year:
Track 1 is geared for elders, pastors, and planners of outreach ministry and will be directed by the Missions Ministry Team.
Trace 2 is geared for teachers, directors of Christian education, youth ministers and other Christian education leaders and will be directed by the Discipleship Ministry Team.

Goals for Track 1 include:

  • exploring the meaning of evangelism;
  • discovering the role of the church in ministry of living and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ as Lord;
  • Identifying and practicing ways in which the church can fulfill its call to do evangelism in its cultural context; and
  • affirming God's gift of the Holy Spirit to empower us for the calling to be evangelists.
