Justice is Mission, Too! The March of Mission season is from Easter (April 12) to Pentecost (May 31). This observance has been designated by the General Assembly for special emphasis on missions in our churches for more than forty years. 2009 Youth Evangelism Conference Romans 13:11 – “The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Come to Nashville and be prepared to WAKE UP…. Together, we will explore ways in which to tell the story of God’s love and care for all people. Through small groups, worship, bible study, prayer and servant evangelism we will WAKE UP!
Among the momentous decisions from this
year’s General Assembly were some that
might have slipped under the radar. They
had to do with a projected five-year focus
onevangelism for the denomination,
specifically emphasizing “leading
congregations in how to do personal evangelism that is
appropriate to their cultural context.”
