Planning Tips for March C. E. Ministry Team

1.  Checking In

It is always helpful to begin your meeting with personal updating by members of the C. E. Ministry Team.
2.  Devotional Thoughts and Prayer
3.  Reviewing Agenda/Selecting Recorder
4.  Updating on Ongoing Ministries
Sunday School - Classes are 6 months into the C. E. Year. How are they going?
Children/Jr. High/Sr. High Youth Groups - How are they going?
Small Groups/Other Classes - How are they going?
5.  Miniversity
If your session attended a miniversity, was it helpful? Is there follow-up for you to do?
6.  VBS
    Have you set the dates?
Who should you call as director?
What curriculum will you use? Have you seen the chart of curricula from the Board of C. E.?
How will you offer support to the director and leaders?
    How will you promote it?
7. Confirmation or Church Membership Class
If your church is providing a confirmation class, how is it going?
If you have not planned for one, do you need to consider doing so? The Making of Disciples Called Cumberland Presbyterian is a resource that you might
consider. It is available from Resources - Board of Christian Education, 901/276-4572, extension 252 - Matt Gore.

8.  Presbyterial Rallies/Retreats/ Camps
Do you have the dates for these events? How are you promoting them to the proper people?
9.  Youth Conference Experiences
CPYC is scheduled for July 7 -12. The Presbyterian Youth Triennium is scheduled for July 17-22. Information has been sent to your congregation. Check at http://www.cumberland.org/bce/youth.html.

These are just some hints for an agenda. Make it yours!
