Planning Tips for January C. E. Ministry Team

1. Checking In

           Since this is the first meeting of the new calendar year, you may have new members on your ministry team. Welcome them. Spend time in sharing what is going on with each member.

2. Devotional Thoughts and Prayer

3. Reviewing Agenda

           Give everyone an opportunity to add items to the agenda.

4. Report from the Session

           Give time to hear from the session those things that pertain to your ministry.

5. Updating on Ongoing Ministries

           Sunday School

           Children/Jr. High/Sr. High Youth Groups

           Small Groups/Other Classes

6. Advent/Christmas

           Evaluate those activities you held and make notes of any changes to consider in the future.

7. Lent/Easter

           You may have begun plans last month. Continue to do your planning.

8. Confirmation or Church Membership Class

           Many congregations schedule a class around this time. Check with Resources (901/276-4572, extension 252 if you do not have the resource Making of Disciples Called Cumberland Presbyterian.
