Some Common Curriculum Questions


1. We have 5 children for Sunday School - I kindergartener, 1 second grader; I third grader, 1 fourth grader, 1 sixth grader. What can we do?



2. Our preacher uses the lectionary when she preaches. Are there any Sunday School resources designed around the 3 year cycle of the lectionary?


3. Our adult class prefers a lecture approach. In addition, we’d like the learn more about what Cumberland Presbyterians believe? What suggestions can you make?


4. The people in our adult class like discussion and a Bible study. What can you suggest?


5. We want our children to grow up knowing more than just biblical facts. We want them to be able to interpret the Bible. What should we look at first?

1. You might wish to have 1 class for all these learners. Look at Bible Quest Multi-age (K-8), Seasons of the Spirit

Multiage (ages 5-12), or One Room Sunday School (ages 3-12)


2. Yes, Seasons of the Spirit is based on the lectionary.





3. Try Encounter. It is based on the CUS outlines and makes frequent references to the Confession of Faith.
