To: Persons Interested in Applying for Membership on the 2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium Design Team

Dear Friend:

I am pleased that you are interested in applying for a position on the 2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium (PYT) Design Team. You will find the application on line at www.cumberland.org/bce/2008pytdtapplication.pdf. Please provide the information requested, print a copy of the form and return it to me at 1978 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104 no later than July 25, 2008.

The PYT Design Team will be composed of approximately 24 youth, adults and national staff from the sponsoring denominations— Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, and the Presbyterian Church (USA). The team will meet four times before the event (Oct. 4-7, 2008; March 21-24, 2009; October 8-13, 2009; and April 17-20, 2010). In addition, members will be assuming assignments during intervals for particular elements of the Triennium. The team will also be at Purdue University 3 days prior to the beginning of the PYT in July 2010 (date not yet confirmed) and remain through the event and 1 day following it. The design team meetings usually begin on Saturday and conclude on Tuesday. You will be required to miss work and/or school.

All expenses related to PYT Design Team participation will be paid through the Triennium budget.

The Presbyterian Youth Triennium will bring together approximately 3,500 youth and adults for a week of worship, study, fellowship and recreation. The call to serve on the Design Team is one to be taken seriously. It involves a high level of commitment and willingness to serve. It means placing it in the category of "high priority" in your life. Persons who cannot make such a commitment should not apply. If you are selected, you will be asked to sign a covenant promising full participation so far as is possible.
