In addition to the institutions above named, your Committee are pleased to hear of the flourishing condition, and growing prosperity and usefulness of several Academies and Schools of a high order, mostly under the control of your Presbyteries, among which, they would mention--

Clear Spring Academy, Green County, Tenn., under the care of the Knoxville Presbytery.

These Schools, as your Committee learn, are increasing in usefulness; and, if properly fostered, and judiciously conducted, will prove important helps in furthering the cause of general education, and a wide-spread moral influence.
