Obituary of Miranda C. Shepard

Sheppard.--Mrs. Miranda C. Sheppard, wife of the Rev. J. C. Sheppard, died of consumption at their home in Springfield, Mo., May 23, 1889. The deceased was born in Callaway county, Mo., February 20, 1845 and was married to the Rev. J. C. Sheppard in 1865. She professed faith in Christ and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church in the twentieth year of her age. At the time of her death she was a member of Calvary Presbyterian church, Springfield, Mo. Her death has draped her home in the deepest mourning, and sent pangs of sorrow to a loving husband and three devoted children. She was useful in all good works, a great help to her husband in his labors for the Master.      W. J. HAYDON.
