Report on Mortuary
Brethren:
We regret to report to you the loss to our Presbytery through
death the Rev. M. C. Scrudder. Who in some way held revivals or
pastored each congregation in the Presbytery and who has contributed
much to the life of each Church in our presbytery. he has also
enriched our lives in many ways.
In further love

friend and Christian brother. We pray that we may be submissive

to err.

to us at 8:00 P.M. in memory of our brother; That a copy of these
resolutions be placed in the permanent record, and a copy be sent
to Rev. M. C. Scrudders' Family.

Born near Prairieview, Arkansas, April 26, 1889, died at his home near Mount Vernon, Oklahoma, in June of 1945.
Married to Marie Trusty in 1912, he was the father of six children. He is survived by his wife and four children--Marion Narmagene [sic: Norma Jean], Narland [sic: Norlan] , Mrs. Novadell [sic: Nova Dell] Barton of McAlester, and Narris [sic: Norris]of Carnegie; six grandchildren; five brothers; and one sister. His brother, H. H. Schrudder of Boonsville, Arkansas, is well known to many Cumberland Presbyterians since he too is a minister in the Church.
Funeral services were held at Mount Vernon by Rev. J. E. Kelley, assisted by Rev. George Bishop, pastor.
Brother Schrudder was a man of God. We miss his council and
his vision of the future. He is gone but his life's work will
live on in the lives of others. May God's blessings rest upon
his loved ones, and let us humbly say, "Thy will be done."--A
brother in Christ.
