OKLAHOMA PASTOR TAKEN BY DEATH
Rev. W. R. Reed [sic], 62, who became pastor of the Boggy church, Burns Flatt, Okla., last October, was claimed by death on February 6. His health had been failing for sometime but he had conducted both services on Sunday, February 5. At the time of his death he was making preparations to conduct a radio program.

The funeral service was conducted at the Boggy church by Rev. Elmer Kelly. A later service was held in Greenfield, Mo., by Rev. E. M. Jennings and interment was in the Hickory Grove cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, one son, one daughter, and three grandchildren.

Rev. W. R. Reid, Oklahoma
Rev. W. R. Reid departed this life Feb. 6, 1950 at the age of sixty-two. His ministry began with Choctaw Indian over forty years ago. Later for years he held revivals throughout Tennessee and Kentucky, where he organized and built churches.

He has served churches at Cookeville, Tenn.; Fulton, Kentucky; Mansfield, Warrensburg, Kansas City, Mo.; Los Angeles, California; Searcy, Ark.; and Springfield, Mo. While at Kansas City the present edifice was erected.

He organized and operated Camp Cumberland, the first camp in our church, for five years. He was on the Board of Missions and served as secretary and treasurer for a number of years.

At his death he was pastor of the Boggy community church at Burns Flat, Okla. Funeral services were conducted there at 2 o'clock Feb. 7, by Rev. Elmer Kelley.

Another service was conducted at Greenfield, Mo., Feb. 9 by Rev. E. M. Jennings of Springfield, Mo. The many people who attended and the beautiful floral tribute was significant of his many friends. The body was interred in Hickory Grove cemetery.

Survivors include his wife; one son, William, who is in college; a daughter, Mrs. A. J. Aiello of Oelwein, Iowa; three small granddaughters; one sister and three brothers.
