Rev. W. J. Patton, formerly prof. of mathematics in McGee College,
died at his residence at Lees Summit, Mo., on March 8, 1878. He
was sick something over four weeks, gradually but surely grew
worse from the first. He was a grandson of Rev.
Samuel King, and son of Rev.
Daniel Patton. He was a fine teacher, a good preacher,
and an excellent man. He died with full confidence in the Saviour.
A sketch of his life will no doubt be given in the Church papers.
Frank
Russell.
