Early Saturday morning, August 25, 1955 en route to his church, Green's Chapel of Charleston, Tenn., God saw fit to call from our midst Rev. E. C. Hardison.
He was a native of Lewisburg, Tenn., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hardison. He was united in marriage in 1918 to Miss Birdie Goodrum. To that union was born two boys and two girls.
He professed a hope in Christ and started as a minister at an early age and continued his work in the Lord until death. At the time of his death he had just finished a revival at Dyersburg, Tenn. He was also the pastor of Freeman, at Athens, Tenn.
He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, Mrs. Birdie Hardison; two daughters, Mary Emma Browridge and Mrs. Edith Spurlin; two sons, Robert and Cecil Hardison; three brothers, Isaiah, James and William Hardison; two sisters, Mrs. Etta D. Collins and Mrs. Rosa Hatcher; 12 grandchildren; two daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law, and a host of relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank their many friends for deeds of
kindness expressed during their bereavement, and are deeply grateful
and appreciative for the floral tributes, cards and telegrams
received at this time.
