Rev. James B. Edwards, D.D., Editor of Huntingdon, Tennessee, was an early editor and publisher of The Cumberland Flag. The first Cumberland Flag was printed in Rev. Edwards' workshop, which was next door to the Huntingdon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, then known as the "Colored Cumberland Presbyterian Church," dating as far back as 1911 and before. Also, he was editor of "The Senior Quarterly" (International Sunday School Lessons) as arranged for the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Colored.
